Terms and conditions of Keep the Ball

The SMS Ball Soccer Game is a game of skill that allows players to "trap" and hold the "ball" as long as possible. The longer the player is able to hold the ball the greater their chances of winning.

• The player loses the ball when another player takes it from him/her.
• Each time a player gets the ball the clock starts and only stops when someone else takes it.
• A player can trap the ball as many times as he/she likes.
• A player's time is added together to get their final score.
• The player with the highest score at the end of a defined time period wins a prize.

How to play:

• A player sends an SMS to a Short code to join the game. (E.g. Text Ball to 37943 R3/SMS)
• The player receives a welcome message indicating they have trapped the ball and that their time with the ball is being counted.
• Once a new player sends in a message the earlier player loses the ball and receives a text informing him/her that he/she will need to text in again to recapture the ball.
• Players continue to send in messages and trap the ball back to accumulate time with the ball.
• At the end of predefined time periods the player with the highest time with the ball wins the prize.

Terms and Conditions of Keep the Ball:

1. When playing you are automatically entered into the Keep the Ball promotion free of charge and stand a chance to win airtime and / or various vouchers.
2. You must be over the age of 18 years to qualify for the cash prizes.

24. Entry is open to anyone on the mobile networks, except any director, member, partner, employee or agent of or consultant to anyone associated with the promoter or its affiliated companies.
25. In the event of any dispute arising from the competition, the promoters may, at their sole and absolute discretion, be able to nominate an independent 3rd party to adjudicate and decide upon any issues arising from such dispute. Such party's decision will be final and binding upon all participants. The promoter's, organizers and judges will be not obliged to give reasons for their decisions or to enter into correspondence in connection therewith.
26. This promotion complies with section 54 of the Lotteries Act, 1997 and is open to all South African residents. Changes to section 54 of the Lotteries Act, 1997 may necessitate changes to the terms and conditions of the competition.
27. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of Keep the Ball which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the competition, ICE Mobile reserves the right in its sole discretion, subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition and may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
28. With regards to any entry using text via mobile phone or entry via the WEB: Entrants must enter via their own mobile phone. ICE Mobile is under no obligation to make inquiries as to who is the owner of the mobile phone or the mobile phone number.
29. To the extent permitted by law, Integrat (Pty) Ltd, telephone networks, or service providers take no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures or any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access telecommunications network services, or any other error or malfunction.
30. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into Keep the Ball database.
31. ICE Mobile is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission.
32. ICE Mobile is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any, computer network, or lines, servers, or telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's handset or computer related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this competition.
33. ICE Mobile disclaims any responsibility for the inability to enter, complete or continue the promotion due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, Acts of God or otherwise.
